A 16-year- old schoolgirl in Tokyo has been selected as the first woman ever to play alongside the men in a Japanese professional baseball team.

"I never dreamded of being drafted", said Eri Yoshida.

A female professionel baseball federation exited for a few years in the 1950s, in Japan, but Yoshida will become the first ever woman to play alongside professional male players.
